About

Vintage Vines is an Austin based company that combines the whimsy of vintage with the beauty of plants. You’ll find ornate custom succulent arrangements in vintage tins, teacups and etched glassware. Arrangements can be made to order or you can select from pre designed pieces.

Most recently Vintage Vines has expanded into carefully curated vintage clothing apparel & accessories, and vintage home goods.

About The Owner

Alissa Galindo began her plant journey in 2021. A local Austinite, she always felt connected to nature and loved the way it brought her peace and serenity. With a green thumb she inherited from her mother, one plant soon turned into a collection and then into a hobby. She felt called to share this hobby with others so they too could experience the joy of plants and the way they light up a room.

Quickly Vintage Vines grew into something even more as Alissa began exploring her love of timeless, vintage goods and her passion for clothes that promote slow fashion.

Vintage Vines is very much an extension of who Alissa is and each piece curated by her is done so with the utmost love and care.

  • Care instructions:

    Bright, indirect light.

Water succulent/cactus about every 3 to 4 weeks during winter months and increase frequency as spring and summer approach. Top inch must be dry before adding water. For succulents start with 1 tablespoons of water and for cactus start with 1 teaspoon of water.

Gently pour water so as not to disturb topper rocks or decorative pieces. Wipe away any water on succulent/cacti leaves as that can cause rotting.

Vintage tins do not have drainage holes so it is best to start with minimal amounts of water and add more if necessary.

Trim plant to desired shape as it grows.

It is normal and natural for bottom leaves to wither and die. Pluck or cut those off as needed. If plant leaves are no longer firm and begin to wither it may be a sign that it needs more water.

  • Your custom arrangement is a living plant that requires adequate and proper lighting, watering and pruning to maintain overall health and beauty. Succulent life spans are 1-3 years with house plants living longer. Expect the changing of seasons to affect the quality of your plant for a time as it adjusts to new light and temperature.

  • My carefully curated collection of vintage pieces comes from hours of scouring Texas vintage shops, and local estate and garage sales. My pieces date from 1900s through 1990s.

  • I do ship nationally however due to the delicate nature of some custom arrangements, not all items are shippable. I deliver locally for a $5 flat rate.
